These two fellas are excited to now be serving the City of Lennox with their recently obtained Peddler's Permit - we have improved our Permit to be mobile with a lanyard ID to better identify peddler's that have been approved at City Hall. Keep an eye out for those orange lanyards!!

We are gearing up for this year's Bike Rodeo!!
A Bike Rodeo is an event designed to promote bicycle safety, awareness, and responsible riding habits in a fun and educational setting.
The first Bike Rodeo will take place at the Worthing School on Thursday, May 14, 2026, from 12:30 p.m. to 3:15 p.m. The second event will be held at Lennox School on Friday, May 15, 2026, from 12:30 p.m. to 3:15 p.m.
Students will participate in interactive safety stations and guided riding courses that simulate real-world conditions. Officers from the Lennox Police Department, along with school staff, will provide instruction and hands-on training to help students develop safe biking skills.
Bike Safety Topics to be Covered:
• Proper helmet fit and helmet safety importance
• Bicycle inspection (ABC Quick Check: Air, Brakes, Chain)
• Use of hand signals and rider communication
• Understanding traffic signs and basic road rules
• Safe street and intersection crossing techniques
• Maintaining control and riding in a straight line
• Situational awareness and hazard recognition
• Sharing the roadway with vehicles and pedestrians
• Importance of visibility (lights, reflectors, and bright clothing)
Parents are encouraged to ensure their child brings a properly functioning bicycle and a correctly fitted helmet to participate in the event.
The Lennox Police Department remains committed to community safety and appreciates the cooperation of the Worthing and Lennox School Districts in helping educate our youth.
