Reminder for Softball Parents – At last month's Park Board meeting, the Board discussed at length the value of changing softball leagues for our summer Parks & Recreation programs. In order to better understand the thoughts and opinions of parents, we have been asked to formally invite you to attend the January Park Board meeting for an extended discussion on this topic. The meeting will be at 6:00 on January 17, and will be held at the Lennox City Hall at 107 S Main Street in Lennox. This topic will be first on the agenda so that we can dedicate as much time as possible to the discussion. If you have any questions please contact City Hall at 605-647-2286.

All city streets are open again. Crews will be out again tomorrow to widen streets throughout town and continue the cleanup in Countryside. If you live in an area with heavy drifts, please note that the cleanup process will leave more snow in your driveway, and it could be a lot of snow in some areas. We apologize in advance

Crews are out and trying to open up drifted areas. Progress will be slow, but we're working on it!

NOTICE: Countryside Addition is impassible at this point, from both Highway 17 and from Boynton Avenue.

NO TRAVEL ADVISED! Streets staff were out for about an hour this morning to try and open up drifted areas with very little luck due to low visibility, and the cold temperatures were starting to effect hydraulic equipment. We are going to pause any plowing until after the wind subsides, but even then the response will be dependent on the temperature. Stay home today!

MLK Day 2024
After a good round of plowing earlier today, we're comfortable ending the snow alert effective immediately. Crews have been battling snow for five days now, and are resting for the night. Drifts are bound to cause some challenges tonight (especially in countryside addition and Boynton Ave), so please drive with caution!
