The Lennox Area Development Corporation (LADC) will be served by a new economic development manager next month. Joshua Chase will be taking over the position, replacing Ryan Solberg, who served LADC for the past three years. Joshua Chase is a lifelong South Dakotan who joined the Sioux Metro Growth Alliance (SMGA) team in 2024. The LADC, contracts with SMGA to provide staff support and to facilitate the Board’s activities. He graduated from Dell Rapids Public High School in 2018 and has been studying at the University of South Dakota in Vermillion. Joshua earned his Bachelors in Political Science in 2023 and will graduate from USD’s Master of Public Administration program in 2024. While in college, Joshua interned for Ho-Chunk Inc., a tribally owned economic development company in Winnebago, NE, U.S. Senator Mike Rounds’ Offices in Sioux Falls, Pierre, and Washington, DC, as well as serving as an intern to the Majority Leader in the South Dakota Senate for the 99th Legislature.
Chase said he is, “excited to join the Lennox community and to be an advocate for growth in the area.
