Meet the Officers

Mark Lee,

I’m originally from Flandreau, SD. I began my law enforcement career in 2016 with the Moody County Sheriff’s Office. In 2020, I started with the Lennox Police Department. Currently, I am the Patrol Sergeant and Field Training Officer for the department. My role here is to maintain the proactive approach we take on law enforcement in Lennox. I ensure our Officers are equipped with the proper tools and knowledge to perform their duties.

Colt Bradley,

Colt grew up in Deadwood, South Dakota. Upon high school graduation, Colt attended SDSU and graduated with a degree in Natural Resource Law Enforcement. Colt's career in law enforcement began in Sioux Falls where he served the community before being welcomed onto the Lennox Police force and has served for the past 3 years. Colt enjoys hunting, fishing, the outdoors and spending time with his wife and son.

Jorden Johnson,

Hello! My name is Officer Jorden Johnson. Some of you may not have seen me around yet! I work strictly night shifts so at times it’s hard to meet everyone! I am originally from Sioux Falls. I have worked in a law enforcement capacity for approximately five years! I began my career at the South Dakota State Penitentiary in Sioux Falls as a Correctional Officer, while doing that I was also attending Southeast technical College for Law Enforcement Science. I also worked in the Minnehaha County Juvenile detention Center. After that, I was a Deputy Sheriff in the Mitchell area, I started there in the beginning of 2021. I spent two and a half years up there, working full time as a deputy and also able to graduate college with an associate degree in law enforcement science! I started working part time with the Lennox Police Department in October of 2022. In August of 2023, I took a full-time position here. Recently I have attended three weeks of extensive Drug Recognition training, two weeks of in classroom training and a week in North Carolina, completing my training with Field certifications to make me a drug recognition expert. I specialize in impaired driving and drug work. On my off time, I enjoy spending time with family, golfing and traveling to NFL games! It is an honor to be able to serve the citizens and community of Lennox and I look forward to continuing to serve you all!

Andrew Nygaard,

Hi! I'm Officer Andrew Nygaard. I grew up around the Sioux Falls area and graduated from Harrisburg High School. After high school, I attended Southeast Technical College for law enforcement and obtained an associate degree. The day after my 21st birthday, I was hired as a deputy sheriff for McCook County. After moving my family closer to home, I joined the Brandon Police Department and became a field training officer. While working for the Brandon Police Department, I had the rare opportunity to deliver a baby and receive a stork pin. I never thought, as a police officer, that would happen. In 2023, I joined the Lennox Police Department and have been enjoying the friendly and welcoming community. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, playing video games, working on cars, and traveling. If you see me out and about, don't be afraid to say hi!

Amanda Drenten,

Officer Drenten has dedicated the last 5 years to serving the citizens of Minnehaha and Lincoln County. She began her career in law enforcement after graduating from the South Dakota Police Academy in 2019. Officer Drenten, a graduate of Lennox High School, strives to foster positive relationships between the police and the community. Go Orioles!

Stay tuned we are excited to be adding two new officer to the department in June.
