Lennox Community Library

On December 4th the Lennox Community Library will have a Holiday Open House from 4pm-7pm. This year they will be hosting a local artist and Lennox graduate, Tara Barney. Tara graduated from Lennox in 1990 and since then has gone on to form Red Door Creations. Red Door Creations specializes in fine arts and crafts. Her work has been featured in national and international collections. She will have a selection of jewelry displayed alongside her children’s books that night. Currently the Lennox Community Library has multiple paintings that Tara has created, scattered throughout the building that one can stop in and view anytime they are open. If you are interested in learning more about Tara's’ work, please visit https://reddoorcreations.com/

The library will also have a PaperPie Books (formerly known as Usborne Books) representative present on December 4th. Natalie will be set up in the back room as a cash-and-carry. The company has been creating children's books for over 50 years. The books range from activity books, page turner series, science, and history encyclopedias, to bedtime stories. Their goals are to create books that will jumpstart children’s curiosity and love for learning. If you have a book in mind that is not present that night, check with Natalie to see if she can order it for you.

Lastly the new Promethean Board will be on display as well. It is an interactive whiteboard that you can project images from your computer, tablet, or external camera. The Promethean Board allows for a wide range of activities such as showing movies, playing games, hosting zoom meetings, showing televised sporting events like the HS State Volleyball Tournament and much more. It is an incredible way to interact with people of all ages.

During the Holiday Open House, the Lennox Community Library will be providing cider and cookies for attendees along with an area where you can register for this year’s door prizes.
