This past weekend, the Lennox Ambulance Service was awarded the Service of the Year Award with the South Dakota Emergency Medical Services Association! The Lennox Ambulance Service is comprised of both paid and volunteer providers under the direction of EMS Director Alan Perry. The service has worked diligently over the past several years to create a professional atmosphere where employee and volunteer contributions are both expected and valued.
These providers somehow accomplish what seems to be impossible - serving each and every person in a 189 square mile territory in the fastest growing county in South Dakota. Over the years, Lennox has seen their calls grow steadily, with 354 calls in 2016 increasing to 502 calls in 2022. Despite serving such a large territory, Lennox keeps an average response time under 4.25 minutes, and a time on-scene of less than 14 minutes. This award recognizes the outstanding contributions of the Lennox Ambulance Service to the region and the state!
At the same event, Lennox Paramedic Brenda Sinning was awarded the SDEMSA Lifetime Membership Award, recognizing members who have been active at the state or district level, and have been active for more than 15 years as a member of the SDEMSA. Lennox EMS Director Alan Perry was also elected to the role of State Vice President.
Please join us in congratulating our amazing EMS crew!
